Southern Highland Craft Guild, member since 2003
The second oldest guild in the country, the Southern Highland Craft Guild represents over 900 craftspeople in nine southeastern states. Its mission: "Bringing together the crafts and craftspeople of the Southern Highlands for the benefit of shared resources, education, marketing, and conservation."

Piedmont Craftsmen
, member since 2009
Based in Winston-Salem, NC, Piedmont Craftsmen, Inc. was founded in 1963 by craft artists and collectors to "honor the work of the hand." It represents nearly four hundred artisans in the southeastern U.S.

Handmade in America
Founded in 1993, Handmade's mission is "to grow the economy through craft, cultural heritage and the community assets of Western North Carolina." The Asheville, NC-based organization serves 22 counties in Western North Carolina.

Society of North American Goldsmiths
This national non-profit organization was founded in 1969 to support the field of jewelry and metalsmithing. Its members are artists, designers, jewelers and metalsmiths.

Mountain Sculptors
An association of artists creating three-dimensional work in Western North Carolina and the surrounding region.

American Craft Council
This national non-profit educational organization was founded in 1943 with a mission to champion craft.

Asheville Arts Council
Our local arts council is one of the oldest in the country, incorporated in 1952. Its mission is to unify artists, offer financial support, provide opportunities, and enhance the visibility of our unique local art culture.
